User Data Deletion Instructions — Social Connect (Meta App)

This page explains how a merchant can request deletion of data accessed or processed by the Social Connect app ("the App") through the Meta Graph API and Marketing API ("Meta Platform"). It is provided in accordance with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies on user data deletion.

1. Data Covered by This Page
This applies to data obtained through the Meta Platform via the App, including:
- Facebook Page and Instagram account connection credentials (Page ID, Instagram account ID, access tokens)
- Ad account connection details (ad account ID, long-lived user access token)
- Post and ad campaign history published through the App (caption text, media references, links, and performance metrics)
2. For Merchants: Self-Service Disconnection
A merchant using the App can disconnect their Facebook Page, Instagram account, or ad account at any time directly from the App's Connections page inside their Shopify admin. Disconnecting immediately removes the stored access token for that account from our systems.
3. Requesting Full Data Deletion
To request deletion of your connection credentials and associated post or campaign history, send a deletion request by email to:

- The Shopify store domain (e.g.
yourstore.myshopify.com) connected to the App - A description of the data you want deleted (e.g. all post/campaign history, a specific connected account's data, or full account data)
- Confirmation that you are the merchant who owns the connected store
We will verify the request and delete the associated data from our active systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with a legal obligation. We will confirm completion by email to the address the request was sent from.
4. What Is Not Deleted by This Process
Deleting data from the App does not delete your Facebook Page, Instagram account, X account, or content already published to those platforms — that data is controlled by Meta or X and must be managed through your own Meta Business Suite, Instagram settings, or X account. This process only covers data stored by the App itself.
