Delete Your Account & Data — Himachali Match

This page explains how to request deletion of your Himachali Match account, developed by Rajat Kumar, and what happens to your data when you do.

1. How to Delete Your Account (In-App)

You can delete your account yourself, directly within the App:

  1. Open the Himachali Match app and log in
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted from our active systems, subject to the retention notes in Section 3 below.

2. Requesting Deletion by Email

If you're unable to access the App, you can request deletion by emailing us with the phone number or email address associated with your account:

We will verify your request and delete your account within 30 days.

3. What Data Is Deleted, What Is Retained

Deleted immediately upon account deletion:

  • Your profile details (name, date of birth, photos, community, education, occupation, family details, and partner preferences)
  • Your messages, interest/like requests, and match activity with other users
  • Your phone number and/or email address used for login
  • Your visibility to other users — your profile is removed from search and match results right away

Retained for a limited period, where legally required:

  • Transaction and payment records (for subscriptions purchased), retained as required for tax, accounting, and financial regulations, typically up to 7 years
  • Minimal records needed to investigate reported abuse, fraud, or safety violations, retained for up to 90 days after deletion

No profile, photos, messages, or match data are kept beyond what is listed above, and retained records are used only for the stated legal/security purpose, not for matching or marketing.
